As of February 2011 you will be able to rent bikes from Six Cycles.
Thanks to our perfect position right next to the Sustrans Route Cycle Path 3 you will be able to rent a bike and enjoy the scenic and car free cycle path that runs all the way along the River and canal from Taunton – Bridgwater. Sutrans Cycle Route 3 is part of the “West Country Way” which runs all the way to Lands End!

It was always in our plan to offer bike rentals but it was always our goal to open cycling up to everyone. With this in mind we now have a fleet of 4 “mobility” bikes which are for use for people with disabilities (both physical & mental). Our “Mobility bikes” are as follows
The Twister
The Twister is designed to enable its riders to cycle side by side in a semi-recumbent position. Both riders can fully participate in pedalling and steering, however the Twister can be quickly adjusted so that one rider can opt out of pedalling and rest.
The Twister is ideal for riders with special needs, enabling them to enjoy the outdoors whilst conversing with their friends and receiving encouragement whilst riding. The manual version of the Twister is ideal for use on relatively flat terrain and is a popular choice for community cycling initiatives.
Price – £20 per day, £12.50 half day
The Draisin Plus
The Draisin Plus wheelchair tandem enables those with limited mobility to participate in cycling with family and friends. This tricycle is carefully balanced in order to make steering and pedalling as easy as possible.
The wheelchair unit can be disconnected from the drive section of the tricycle. The Draisin Plus has 7 forward gears and can be pedalled backwards for easier manoeuvring.
The Draisin Plus comes with a five-point vest and safety harness, hydraulic disc brakes, lateral guides, head
support and footrests as standard. The seat can be adapted with extra lateral supports if required as well as the option of fitting a child’s own supportive seating system.

Eclipse Trainer
The Eclipse Trainer is designed for children who may require closer supervision or who may not have the understanding or perhaps the manual dexterity to operate gears and dual brakes.
The Eclipse Trainer has a single brake lever (option right or left), which operates a front V brake. It has a combination of fixed and free wheel gears to assist children in developing their pedalling action.
Price – £15 per day, £8.50 half day
Neon
The Neon tricycle is a reliable and stable choice for children aged four to fourteen Years (based on clothing sizes).
In a similar way to the Eclipse (larger model), it can be adapted with support accessories to accommodate different abilities. The Neon has a low centre of gravity and a low, stable riding position.
Price - £15 per day, £8.50
In addition to our mobility bikes we will also offer a range of quality adults & kids bikes from Scott and Cube.

All rentals will require 2 forms of ID (photo and proof of address). £150 deposit payable by credit or debit card only.
