Here at Six Cycles we have a perfect location. Taunton is nestled conveniently in between the Blackdown and Quantock Hills (both designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty) with Exmoor just to the West.
While this means stunning countryside and views across the Bristol Channel (and out into the Atlantic) it also means that we have some of the best mountain biking in the country, right on our doorstep!
There are many magazines and books that regularly publish route maps and guides to the area but these always tend to be the same “classic” routes rehashed in some shape or form. What you really need to get the best out of the area is local knowledge. This is the kind of information that can only be gained from years of exploring the area in great depth and finding new and exciting places to ride.
With this in mind we have teamed up with local boy Dan Brice and his company Discovermoor. Dan has been actively employed in the ‘Outdoor’ industry for over 10 years and has an intimate knowledge of the area and what it has to offer. In addition to his guiding duties Dan is also a qualified Mountain Bike Instructor and will be able to offer a full programme of tuition courses from complete beginner to seasoned pro.
