Marcus Trescothick Launches His Next Charity Ride 15th July

Tomorrow morning at 09:30 Marcus Trescothick will be hosting the launch of his next charity challenge outside Six Cycles.

On 26th-30th September Marcus will be cycling across the South West with some of his Somerset Cricket teammates and friends in order to raise money and awareness for Children’s Hospice South West.
Over five consecutive days they will be riding over 300 miles across the region. The ride will begin in Bristol and will pass through various cities, towns and villages right across the South West peninsula. Overnight stops will be made at Taunton, Barnstaple, Exeter and Plymouth, before the final night finish near St. Austell in Cornwall. They intend to have a mid-day stop for lunch at a different school each day, when they can also take the opportunity to meet some of the pupils. They are also hoping that they may be allowed to get off the bike for a while and have a go in the schools’ cricket nets (they go a bit weird if they don’t have a bat in their hands!).
The route for the ride will also enable them to visit the Children’s Hospices at Charlton Farm near Wraxall in Somerset and at Little Bridge House, Fremington, in North Devon before ending with a visit to the brand new Children’s Hospice at Little Harbour near St. Austell in Cornwall, which is now in the final stages of construction.

Six Cycles will supporting Marcus by providing the riders with some high end Scott carbon road bikes to help them cover the miles a bit more quickly!
